Aero A-101 byl československý bombardovací dvouplošník, který vznikl vývojem z letounu Aero A-100. Typ byl od ledna 1936 ve výzbroji československého letectva, po roce služby byly letouny prodány do Španělska, kde byly nasazeny oběma bojujícími stranami v občanské válce.

Morane-Saulnier MS.406 byl francouzský jednoplošný stíhací letoun. Ve chvíli vypuknutí války s Německem roku 1939 byl nejpočetnější stíhačkou francouzské Armeé de ľ Air. I když se vyznačoval dobrou ovladatelností a obratností, jeho výkon výrazně zaostával za Messerschmittem Bf-109E.
