The first flight of the Bü 131 prototype (D-3150) was made on 27 May 1934 with the flight pilot Joachim von Köppen. The aircraft was powered by a 59 kW Hirth HM 60 R inline four-cylinder engine. In 1934, serial production of the Bü 131 A version began, the main customer of which was the Deutscher Luftsportverband. In 1936, the Bü 131 B series began, which differed in the built-in Hirth HM 504 A-2 engine with a power of 77 kW. Read more
