After thorough testing from March to July 1936, when the seventh aircraft produced flew 1000 hours /140000 km, 529 take-offs/, serial production began. The aircraft was produced with a closed and open cabin, powered by a Persy II engine with a power of 45hp. A total of 201 Z-XIIs and 58 Z-212s were produced. The second prototype OK-BTP was equipped with a Walter Mikron in-line engine and thus built as the Z-212. In our country, the Z-XIIs were used in aero clubs, but also by private companies and as a journalistic aircraft. They also participated in many competitions and races, the greatest success was 7th place in the Race over the Oases, which was achieved by pilot Major Ambruž in competition with much more powerful aircraft. The aircraft was exported all over the world. During World War II During the war it was used by the Luftwaffe as a training aircraft, also in Slovakia and Hungary.
