Arado completed the first prototype of the Ar 76a D-ISEN in the autumn of 1934.The following spring the second Ar V2 (D-IRAS) was flying. Although the Ar 76 did not perform badly, the FW-56 was selected and C- Amt ordered a smaller production run in case it had problems, so Arado Flugzeugwerke built the Ar 76 A-0 series.
