Arado completed the first prototype of the Ar 76a D-ISEN in the autumn of 1934.The following spring the second Ar V2 (D-IRAS) was flying. Although the Ar 76 did not perform badly, the FW-56 was selected and C- Amt ordered a smaller production run in case it had problems, so Arado Flugzeugwerke built the Ar 76 A-0 series.

The Zlín Z-XIII was a Czechoslovak all-wooden low-wing aircraft from the second half of the 1930s. The designer was Jaroslav Lonek. Development was completed in March 1939 and only one prototype was built. With a 130hp engine, it reached speeds of up to 350 km/h. It could fly as a single or two-seater.

The development team was led by Takeo Doi and his assistant Shin Owada, but all received less than favorable references from test pilots flying the first Ki-60 prototype since March 1941.
